1. How much State does an artist need?

What would a vagabond be without land, a state artist without a State, a hare without a hedgehog*?

In our opinion, the answer to these questions is simply a matter of measurement. Since, however, for various reasons, it is basically impossible to measure such interdependencies with all due precision, we shall resort to mathematical statistics as our crutches, settling accounts with reality at some later time. In order to obtain more detailed information as to the height of a state’s standing with respect to the production of qualitatively satisfactory art, we have – based on the artist ranking of the Bilanz business weekly – taken some random samples and, with the help of a model function (based on the assumed function type), we have managed to approximate the required parametres.
The validity of our approximation of a possible answer is vague, prompting us to first localize all the dots on the scatter plot and then, using the Gaussian curve’s normal distribution, to level them to an assessable risk.

The results of our endeavour have been published here.

2. How many artists does a State need?

In order to answer this question, we must first inquire as to the function of the artists, since a function expresses the interdependence of one size with another, and assigns each element of a domain of definition exactly to one element of the target set.
Thus, if artists, according to their function, can clearly be assigned to the State set, then the number of artists is directly dependent on the size of the State (accordingly its qualities also drop). It could now be argued that when a State sum diminishes, the sum of artists also diminishes. But this is not so. For before the state sum can be halved, the sum of artists would have to be halved, and from this already quartered and even earlier divided into eight and into sixteen and so forth, which is impossible since that would take an endless number of artists.

The argument of proof in this situation has been published here.
